MONUMENTAL ENERGY CORP. APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR

Monumental Energy Corp. (“Monumental” or the “Company”) (TSX-V: MNRG; FSE: ZA6; OTCQB: MNMRF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Bill Treuen to the Company’s board of directors (the “Board”).

Change of Directors

Monumental Energy announces the resignation of Mr. Wasim Rehman from the Board due to focus on his other professional commitments. The Company extends its sincere gratitude to Mr. Rehman for his invaluable contributions and insightful guidance over the past three years. Mr. Rehman will remain a significant shareholder of Monumental Energy.

Additionally, the Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Bill Treuren to the Board. Mr. Treuren brings over 30 years of experience in oil and gas, with extensive expertise in pipelining, facilities, drilling, and completion engineering. His wealth of knowledge will be a significant asset to the Company. Mr. Treuren is based in Auckland, New Zealand and is also a director of NZEC.

Grant of Stock Options

The Company also announces that it has granted incentive stock options (“Options”) to certain directors, officers and consultants of the Company to purchase up to an aggregate 1,450,000 common shares of the Company at a price of $0.13 per common share for a period of three years from the date of grant, pursuant to Monumental’s equity incentive plan. The Options vest of the date of grant.
